MEMORIES THAT TASTE LIKE SWEAT

UNDERTOW is pleased to present MEMORIES THAT TASTE LIKE SWEAT as part of the 2025 BMoCA Summer Art Market.

This project explores queer longing in the thick of summer—where heat, sweat, desire, and memory collide. Drawing inspiration from David Wojnarowicz’s Memories That Smell Like Gasoline, it conjures an atmosphere of urgency and tenderness, where touch lingers, bodies glisten, and the season becomes a metaphor for both ache and intimacy.

Bringing together printed matter, zines, and ephemera, MEMORIES THAT TASTE LIKE SWEAT continues UNDERTOW’s mission to explore, cultivate, and expand queer print culture.
