THE WIND BLOWS

UNDERTOW presents:SUP YO THE WIND BLOWS  by Brian Kenny

UNDERTOW is ecstatic to present the very first print edition by New York artist Brian Kenny. SUP YO THE WIND BLOWS is a suite of archival pigment prints drawn from recent works by Kenny.

Built through many layers of color, Kenny’s drawings carry a vivid and visceral intensity. Skin is never singular here, but spectral—composed of blues, greens, purples, and other shifting tones that make the body feel charged, intimate, and alive.

Brian’s work is known for its bright, vividly expressionistic style, often autobiographical and reflective of queer identity, gender, and politics. Fetish and homoerotics emerge through the wife beater, chain necklace, and prismatic blowjob scene. These drawings begin as raw mark-making and are here translated into print. A chain necklace appears in all three works, creating a visual thread across the suite.

The print suite debuted at  Printed Matter’s 2026 Los Angeles Art Book Fair.
